I noticed today I was reading fal files posts without being logged in. I don't remember this being possible before. I have built many many FAL's in the past. last year I bought approximately 30 to 35 CIA receivers have been going through them finished 20 of them so far and what have found is are these issues without fail the gas tube nut threads and the barrel threads are all out of spec on every single one I had to chase the threads on 20 so far haven't ...I couldn't use the DSA Para rear sight with a Type C as I recall. I highly question the legitimacy of a member who had stated several years ago the DSA FAL was returned and sent back twice untouched. My US SCAR 20s are (arguably) better made than my Belgium SCAR-17s. The FN ones came in, and had their HTS ripped out, thrown away, and replaced with inferior. The FAL aint the Space Shuttle. You can pretty much get by with pouring bacon grease on it, and call it good. There is enough recoil and violently-moving parts that the grease/oil will get slung around until it coats enough of the pieces that need a coating. A bath once and a while may be advised..
