I'm seriously considering a GV overdrive for my 55 chevy, in case you don't know it has a mild blown big block, and TH400, and I drive it everywhere as well as race occasionally. I don't really know how a GV operates, as far as how automatic the shifting is, how downshifting works, whether Park still works, etc.I already have crossover steer. I have the original 4l60 trans but I also have a 700r4 k case but both need rebuilt. I’m wondering if I would be better off rebuilding my 700r4 and upgrading it or getting a th400 and a gear vendor’s overdrive unit.
