Until I saw that the Edge is built off the 300 RUM case, which has a little more powder capacity than the 338 RUM case has. I believe the 338 EDGE has to be handloaded for, whereas the 338 RUM is a factory chambering.Switching from H1000 to 8133 didn't cure your pressure problems, you just simply started too high with H1000. Starting at 89.5 was too high for your particular rifle. Aug 25, 2008 · My first 338 was a 15 pound 30" barreled 338 edge. Thing was a hammer out to 1300 yards. But what a PIA to pack in the backcountry of Idaho, Utah and Wyoming.
